Show MISS VIDA ECCLES WEDS NEW YORKER Ogden Divorcee Marries R. Timothy Savage at the Hotel Utah. Miss Vida Eccles has deserted the ranks of Utah's fair divorcees. Her marriage, conducted at the Hotel Utah, was as quietly accomplished as vras her divorce three years ago from her former husband, George H. Davis, an attorney of this city. The present husband is E. Timothy Savage of New York. It is understood under-stood that the acquaintance that culminated cul-minated in marriage began in the metropolis, me-tropolis, Mr. Savage coming to Ogden Og-den recently to claim his bride. Tho divorce of Mrs. Savage from her former husband was accomplished within a few minutes of the filing of a complaint charging abandonment, on August 19, 1914. The two were married mar-ried in Ogden December 31, 1907. In the complaint Mrs. Davis charged that the desertion upon which ground the divorce was asked and obtained began February 1, 1913, her husband abandoning aban-doning her at that time and persistently persistent-ly refusing to return to her. Appearing through his attorney, Mr. Davis waived all privileges and consented con-sented to the entering of a default with the result that the divorce was granted immediately, interlocutory at the time and final "at the conclusion of six months. Mrs. Davis was given back her maiden name, Vida Eccles, which she now has exchanged again, this time for that of Mrs. E. Timothy Savage Sav-age of New York. Mrs. Savage is known to be wealthy in her own right, her share of the estate es-tate of her father, the late David LV rles. Vtcing estimated at something near a million dollars. I |
