Show CABARET BALL TO BE GIVEN SOLDIERS A cabaret ball will be given Friday night by D company of the Second California Cali-fornia infantry in the barracks' mess hall 'at Garfield headquarters, under the direction of Captain Ford Fj. Splgel-myer Splgel-myer and Lieutenant L. H. Gadsby. This is the first of a series of entertainments enter-tainments Which will be given- the California Cali-fornia boys in the second national guard district of the western department. Special Spe-cial dance music will be featured and balloons, confetti, popcorn and punch will be provided In profusion. Captain Spigelmyer expressed the opinion opin-ion yesterday that all work and no play maktfs dull soldiers, and it will be his aim, he said, to see to it that the boys do not lack entertainment during the coming months. He said that everything in the district lias been peaceful since the arrival of the California troops, both in Utah and Ida'lio divisions. |
