Show MOLLA AGAIN AMONG THE TENNIS WINNERS CINCINNATI, Ohio. Sept. 11. The tennis ten-nis stars, who are touring the country In the interest of the war ambulance fund, displayed the highest class of tennis in contests which they staged here today. Two of the three matches w-ere decided in straight sets, but there was plenty of action ac-tion hv the players. Harold Throckmorton. Elizabeth. N. J-t with Krederh'k B. Alexander. New York, as his partner, defeated Sam Hardy. California, Cali-fornia, and C. S. Garland, Pittsburg, in men's doubles, by the scores of 2-6, 7-a and 6-5. A mixed doubles match was won by Miss Molla Bjurstedt. Norway, paired with John Strachan, California, from Throckmorton Throck-morton and Miss Mary Browne. California, Califor-nia, by the scores of 6-4. 7-5. Strachan also played in a singles match with Alexander and won in straight sets by the scores of 6-C, 6-2. |
