B. Beatty, state health commissioner. commis-sioner. I The renort, which is for the month of ! October, shows a total of 1072 births and i 321 deaths. There were 14? cases of i scarlet fever reported, with one death. There were three cases of smallpox and fifty-three cases of diphtheria, with six deaths. The total of fifty-two cases of typhoid fever was reported, with five deaths. There were 105 cases of whooping whoop-ing cough and IOL'4 cases of measles, with two deaths. There were liiS cases of chicken .iox and no deaths, and forty-eight forty-eight eass of pneumonia, with twenty-three twenty-three deaths. There were five new cases of tuberculosis, will ten deaths. |
