Show Y. M. C. fl. BOYS WILL ATTEND CONFERENCE Large Salt Lake Delegation Will Make Trip to Big Pocatello Gathering. A large delegation is expected to leave Salt Lake Friday. December 15, for Pocatello Poca-tello to attend the sixth annual Idaho state conference conducted by the Y. M. C. A. in that city. Homer L. Hoisington, boys' secretary of the local Y. M. C. A., is in charge of the Utah section of the conference. He Is anxious to take a large group with him, as this Is the first time Salt Lake has been invited to attend. at-tend. The conference lasts from Friday, De-' De-' cember 15, through Sunday evening. The ! conference Is directed by the Young Men's I Christian associations of Oregon and Idaho. The state Sunday school associa- tion is aiso co-operating. I The conference is open to boys 15 years 1 of age or over. Any club, high school or Sunday school class Is open to send delegates. dele-gates. Leaders of boys are also invited. Speeches by leaders and the lads themselves them-selves will constitute most of the work. Three special exhibits have been prepared. pre-pared. They are on "An Ideal Boys' Room," "Thrift" and "Keeping Fit." The railroad Y. M. C. A. has thrown open Its doors to the delegates. The following have expressed their intention in-tention of going from Salt Lake: Homer Hoisington, Y. M. C. A.; Ray King, Y. M. C. A.; Edward Caster, First Methodist church; Lawrence Root, Liberty Park Methodist; Howard Bard well. Phillips Congregational; Harold Wilhart, Central Christian. Members are expected to represent rep-resent the Immanuel Baptist, First Presbyterian, Pres-byterian, St. Mark's and St. Paul's churches and the Y. M. C. A. class of Westminster college. |
