Show FINDS MANY EGGS IN COLD STORAGE City Sanitary Inspector Discovers Between Be-tween 2000 and 3000 Cases Stored Away in Ogden. Special to Th-i Tribune. OGDEX, Dec. ."..Although unable to state whether the fact has any bearing on the present prices, George Shorten, city sanitary inspector, reported to the commissioners today that he had found between 2000 and :;u00 cases of eggs In cold storage in Ogden. Commission Chris Flygare, head of "the health and sanitary department, its of the opinion that the storage of egys in this city has little or no tendency to hold up the price. According to Inspector Shorten, there Is no I'tah law limiting the amount of foodstuffs food-stuffs in cold storage, but lie asserts that there is another way to overcome the alleged al-leged evil. Food inspectors may threaten to destroy any and all food that has deteriorated' de-teriorated' in food value by reason of being be-ing kept in cold storage. Inspector .Shorten reported today that Harry McPheeters, the 4-year-old boy who was bitten by a rabid dog several days ago, will be given the first Pasteur treatment tomorrow. A supply of the serum has been received from Washington, Washing-ton, D. C, and will he administered by Dr. T. 11. Reatty of the state board of health, with the assistance of the attending attend-ing physician. The boy has so far shown no 111 effects from theattack of the dog. He suffered a laceration on the nose and it was decided to administer the Pasteur treatment at once to guard against possible possi-ble serious results. As a result of the campaign which has been inaugurated against dogs running at i large, forty-six have been killed in the past week, according to Inspector j Shorten. |
