Show OGDEN MAIL CLERKS ARE IN A QUANDARY Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Dec. 5. Owing to the fact ! that some of the members were alsent from the city it was impossible today to I hold a meeting of the directors of the , Weber club to discuss the proposition of I railway mail clerks being transferred from i Ogden to work in mail terminals at Omaha and Chicago. It Is probable that a meeting for this purpose wili be held in the club Friday evening. Many of the local clerks who fear that they will be transferred also fear charges of alleged insubordination should it become be-come known that they have appealed to the club to take some action. As business busi-ness men and patrons of the postal service, ser-vice, it is contended that members of the club might be able to influence the department de-partment officials at Washington to rescind re-scind the order transferring local clerks to eastern points. A total of twelve clerks who formerly had runs out of Ogden Og-den have been ordered east. |
