Show SERVICES ARE HELD FOR WILLIAM GRANT Special to The Tribune. AMERICAN FORK. Dec. 5. One of the most impressive funeral services in this 1 city for years was held in the stake tab- J ernacle today for William Grant, the pioneer pio-neer musician of the state. Bishop James T. Gardner conducted the services. The opening and closing songs were given giv-en hy the stake tabernacle choir. A mixed" quartette sang "Who Are They Ariayed In White?" Miss Byrl Johnson sang "I Know That My Redeemer Liv-' Liv-' eth." By special request, a song com- posed by the deceased was sung by professor profes-sor George Harrison of Springvilie. The speakers were W. B. Smith, James H. Clarke, Martin Hanson. John Devev, Eli J. Clayson and president S- L. Chip- man. A biographical sketch of the ae-; ae-; cedent's life was given by Professor J. B. Forbes. The opening prayer was given by I James Crystal and the benediction by Patriarch Henry Moyle. |
