Show SELECTING CAST FOR WESTSIDERS' PLAY Five of the members of the cast for "Her Friend, the Enemy," the play selected se-lected by the West high school for pro- , Auction, were selected yesterday afternoon. after-noon. There was a spirited contest for each place. The remaining five players will be selected later. Richard Polette, president of the Dra-matich Dra-matich club, won In the race for the place of the leading man. Jack Fernbrook. Monno Alias was selected as the villain, 1 Frame Fleming. Byron White will be Bertly Burton; Roy Dimdas will act as Lige. Miss Athena Beckwiih, vice president presi-dent of the Associated Students West, was the fifth member to be chosen. She will act the part of Mrs. Burton. Diana Burton, the leading lady, yet remains re-mains to be chosen. A large number of students are trying out for this part. Among the most promising are Miss Lucille Lu-cille Gran field, Miss Marguerite Lawson and Miss Mary Johnson. For Colonel Burton, Harvey Hancock and Amber Knight are trying out. Milton Mil-ton Brimley is in the field for the role of Vebidiah Burton. Miss Luoille Laus-lin Laus-lin and Miss Louis Snyder are working for the place of Addle Jenks, while Miss Ida Krupp, Miss Florence Darmer and Mrs. Caroline McMurray are the close contestants for the role of Aunt Chloe. The final selections will be made today. Miss Margaret MacVichie, Miss Frances Qualtrouih, Miss Nellie E. Brown, Miss Ethol M. Connelly and L. Bailey acted as judges yesterday and will serve again i today. |
