Show RECEPTION GIVEN IN PASTOR'S HONOR Many Tributes Axe Paid to the Kev. Mr. Bronson by Congregation at Bethel Baptist Church. Mutual expressions of regret, coupled with words of appreciation, marked the farewell reception given last night at Bethel Baptist church by seventy-five members and friends of the Rev. Berton F. Bronson, who will leave December 12 to accept a call to Bethany Baptist church of Seattle. The gathering was opened with prayer , by George J. Badertscher. The Rev. Frank J. Liljegren of the Swedish Baptist Bap-tist church expressed his appreciation , of the work done by the Row Mr. Bronson Bron-son in Salt Lake. He was followed by F. A. Fryrear, who spoke of tho general appreciation of the uplift work of the retiring pastor. He also expressed the regret of the friends of Mr. Bronson , upon his retirement. li. L. Daynes, master of ceremonies, spoke of the eneournging work accomplished accom-plished by the Rev. Mr. Bronson. Recitations Reci-tations were given by Miss Grace Krum-mel. Krum-mel. In response to the many tributes paid him, the Rev Mr. Bronson expressed his appreciation of the co-operation he had received and of the high esteem in which he was held. He said he was sorry to go. .but that he would always look back in years to come upon his many pleasant relationships in Salt Lake. A purse was presented the retiring Fastor as a token of the esteem of his riends. A similar reception in honor of the. I Kev. Mr. Bronson will be held at the j Rio Grande Baptist church Thursday : evening. |
