Show BOWLING f , ; It was a tough night for the mighty Cubs when they went up against the Broadways on the Orpheum drives last night. The Broadways took thorn to the cleaners for two of the three games rolled. The second spasm of the Broadways Broad-ways was a peach, as two of the men siiot above the 2U0 mark and the team made a count of 916. In the two last games Warner got his shooting clothes on and spilled them for a couple of mighty good counts. 215 and 233, his total for the three being tiSfi, which gives him both the hicrh ones. The Broadways are now tied with t lie Duudees for third place and if they can continue to upset them like they did last night they may yet roost on the top branch of the team standing. The Cubs still have a two-game lead on first position posi-tion and are not going to be dislodged without a. terrific struggle. They had exceedingly ex-ceedingly tough luck last night, and the next bunch to bowl with them will very likely find It much harder sledding. Class Is possessed by the Strepatcos. as the number of spares and the lack of errors showed when they were in seventh place last week, so when they grabbed all three from the Ivan hoes last night it gave them a tie for fourtli and demonstrated that their team is entitled to be well up toward the top.
