Show Farmington By KATHRYN JENNINGS 867-2027 Ray and Carolyn Hall have had house guests recently. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cook of Leavenworth, Kansas were the guests. Mrs. Cook is a sister of Ray. Frankland J. and Gladys Kennard have returned from a motor trip to San Diego, Calif. They were guests of Dr. Lee and Elaine Kennard, who became parents of twins, a girl and a boy on Oct. 4. Cheryl Ruth, the little girl, was blessed by her grandfather, grand-father, F.J. Kennard in the ward there. She is his 50th grandchild and the little boy Sean Robert is his 51st grandchild, the father blessed his son. The couple now has six children. Dr. Kennard is in residency at the naval hospital hospi-tal there. The Kennards visited visit-ed LaJolla, where he was stationed sta-tioned during World War II. F.J. Kennard was honored for his birthday here in Farmington Far-mington on Oct. 3, the birth-date birth-date being Oct. 6. Fifty-four family members attended the celebration and enjoyed a picnic in the out-of-doors patio pa-tio area. Harvey and Joreen Tanner, former Farmington residents, now living in Idaho Falls, Idaho brought their two-year-old son to Salt Lake City for hospitalization recently. The child died of leukemia on Oct. 14. The Helen Mar Miller Camp of DUP will meet at the home of Marvel Mayfield on Oct. 31 at 12:30 p.m. Elvira Hess will serve as cohostess. A special musical program will be given by Gary Johnson who plays the accordion. Margaret Thayne will present the lesson. Irene Olsen is captain of the organization. The Aurelia S. Rogers Camp of DUP will celebrate their 60th birthday on Nov. 7, the very day it was organized, Gladys Kennard, captain, said. The camp will meet at the home of Mary G. Clark at 1 p.m. There will be the regular lesson and history with a special birthday program. Kim and Candy Kennard and two children are visiting grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F.J. Kennard. They are from Raymond, Alberta, Canada and he is on a job interview. Candy Kennard is the sister of Joreen Tanner, whose son was buried on Tuesday. |
