Show Tra CEntiful Urn Two Bountiful men among five suspects charged with some 14 robberies in the , Salt Lake Valley during the past three or four months also have been charged with aggravated robbery of a Bountiful family. DAVIS County Sheriff Sgt. Leo Monks said the pair named in the Bountiful incident in-cident are Paul Van Dyke, 21 and Kurt Moyes, 20, Bountiful. Boun-tiful. Deputy Monks said two men reportedly entered the David Barclay home, 507 W. 36th South and scuffled with three members of the Barclay family before the Barclays were bound while the home was searched by two men. VAN DYKE and Moyes also were charged with aggravated aggravat-ed robbery and arraigned in Salt Lake City Court in connection con-nection with other alleged robberies. Also arraigned and ordered by Salt Lake City Judge Mel-vin Mel-vin H. Morris to face preliminary hearing on the charges Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. were Randy Earl Read and Steven L. Olson, Bountiful, and Eugene Myers, who gave his address as 437 E. 6th South, Salt Lake City. THEY WERE arrested about 5 a.m., Oct. 9 during a police raid at the Bountiful home. Bountiful, North Salt Lake, Salt Lake City and Salt Lake and Davis County law officers participated in the raid. Police said the five suspects were being held in Salt Lake City Jail in lieu of bail ranging rang-ing from $50,000 to $100,000. THEY ARE accused of participating par-ticipating in several robberies of theaters, stores and restaurants during the past three or four months. The arrest followed a tip from a couple leaving a Salt Lake City tavern who jotted down a partial license number of a suspicious car speeding from the Villa Theater on Highland Drive in Salt Lake County. THE theater had been robbed of about $700 and the attendant was locked in a closet. As a result of the tip, police said, the license number led officers to the Bountiful residence where the men were arrested without incident, in-cident, grb |
