'-?- g,- , - i--,., -- i;aiMjr;ft.i- lil AWARDS Norman Canada displays the plaques and awards presented to the Rainbow Chasers of Davis County for their outstanding service in conservation, with Farming-ton Farming-ton receiving many hours of volunteer labor. THE NATIONAL Campers and Hikers Association con-v con-v tinuously works for conserva-, conserva-, tion in the United States. The top plaque is the NCHA presidents' award for the :- ambitious Rainbow Chasers. :'- The center round plaque is Norman Canada, president, displays awards and plaques presented to the Rainbow Chasers the emblem of this group, an arching rainbow trout in a natural setting, painted by an artist friend. THE LOWER center Distinguished Dis-tinguished Service Award was presented to them by the Farmington Lions Club for the many man hours of work done in the Woodland Park and other parks in the city. The other awards are for exceptional scrapbooks, presented by the state organization, or-ganization, a state conservation conserva-tion plaque and parade awards from the state. MR. CANADA and his wife Nina of Layton are serving as president of the group for 1977-78. Woodland Park has been one of their top projects for several years. The thirteen families of this chapter are very adept in the beautifica-tion beautifica-tion and preservation of the natural beauty of the parks where they work. THE RAINBOW Chasers are serving the communities in the state to preserve the beauty of the great out of doors for all the citizens, kj |
