Show ANOTHER CONVENTION 1 MAY COME TO CITY Layman's Home Missionary Society Will Be Invited to Meet Here Next Summer. An invitation will probably be extended ex-tended tomorrow to tho Layman's Homo Stissionary society of tho western west-ern states to hold their annual convention conven-tion next summer in Salt Xako City. Recently C. W. GerdoSj general western secretary of the organization, advised Colonel L A. Benton of tho ftonvor & Bio Grande that Suit Lake would bo favorably considered for tho meeting in May or Juno if a suitable convention conven-tion hall would bo furnished free of charge. Upon notification from Colonel Benton Ben-ton tho convention committee of the Commercial club took tho matter up. Bevoral possible oonvention halls have been viewed and it is believed that at the meeting of the committee Saturday announcement will be made of satisfactory satis-factory arraugements. Secretary Gordes writes that about 3000 dolcgates can bo expected to attend from all the statea west of the Mississippi river. |
