Fell refused today to denv or affirm the truth of tho rumor, It Is reported that Mrs. Florence O, Sanford, at present pres-ent a deputy In the OITIco of City Auditor Arthur "Larson, ls slated for tho appointment appoint-ment of city recorder to succeed George Seaman. The latter expects to resign In tho near future to movo from Ogden to a ranch near Peterson, Morgan county When questioned regarding the prospective pros-pective appointment of Mrs. Sanford, Mayor Fell said that no candidates for the office of city recorder had been considered con-sidered by the commissioners and that none would be considered until Mr. Seaman Sea-man had tendered his resignation. The present -city recorder said ho expected to go to his ranch nbout April 1. Mrs. Sanford, who was at ono lime city auditor, served as a deputy to former City Auditor W. D. Van Dyke and has retained bur position up to the present tlmo through the failure of the commissioners commis-sioners to confirm City Auditor Larson's appointment of Mrs, Mary Farley as her successor.
