GOLF ASSOCIATIO. GAINS NEW MEMBERS NEW YORK, March R. Av a result of an executive committee mnll vote, returned re-turned this week, nine more clubs were elected to membership in the United Slates Golf association. It was announced tonight. Two of those the Aronimlnk Country club of Philadelphia and the Somcrvlllo Country club of Somervlllo, N. J. arc In the active class. The additions to the allied list were tho Mecklenburg Country club of Charlotte, Char-lotte, N. C: tho Bismarck Country club of Bismarck, N. D.; the Presidio Golf club of San Francisco; the 'Mount Picas-ant Picas-ant Golf club of Lowell, Mass.; the Clarksburg Country club of Clarksburg, W. Va.: the Bear 'Hill Golf club of Wakefield, Wake-field, Mass.. and tho Chicago Heights Country club of Chicago Heights. 111. This raises tho grand total of clubs belonging to the parent organization to 354 eighty-two active, or voting, clubs and 27 allied.
