Show POVERTY AND' DEATH IN FAMILY Through the death of little Francis Halter, son of Mr. and .Mrs. B. B. Halter, who occupy the Bamberger hoiice ai the Idlewlld su:nmer resort in Ogden canyon, there conies to light a sail story, the patho of poverty. The boy who died was 12 years of ago and bis death, which occurred last Saturday morning was due to typhoid fever. The Halter family came to Utah about thre? months aco from Akron. Ohio, and reached the state with but little means. About a month ago Mr. Halter secured Ihe position of caretaker care-taker at Idlewlld park and the family moved to that mountain retreat. It Is said that the family since moving to the park has had a very hard fight against poverty, which was made worse bv the Illness which Belzed two of their'chddren. Mr. Halter did not obtain his email wage from his employers em-ployers until the end of the month and It was no easy matter to secure even the common necessities of life. To give the sick children the care which they needed during the siege of fever, was next to Impossible. The father of the sick boys came to Ondfii and secured a physician and medicine and everything that could bo done under the circumstances for the children was done Saturday Francis died. The funeral of the child was held this morning from the Catholic church and. In a plain casket, cas-ket, the body waa laid to rest In Mountain View cemetery.
