Show Physical Fitness Workshop A special clinic dealing with the how, why and when of physical fitness will be held April 24 at the Southern Utah State College. The day-long workshop is one of five clinics being held in Utah under the sponsorship of the Governor's Advisory Council on Physical Fitness. The workshop is open to all interested persons at no charge. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. in the SUSC Physical Education building. The clinic will continue until 3:30 p.m. "Emphasis will be placed on ' providing workshop participants with the necessary information, techniques and tools for conducting con-ducting effective physical fitness programs in their respective environments," notes' Bruce H. Osborne, chairman of the SUSC physical education department. A demonstration of fitness for all ages will be presented by a visiting aerobics dance team, Osborne notes. The workshop will be hosted by SUSC health and physical education personnel and visiting fitness experts. "The program is designed to help provide fitness programs for all people in the state of Utah," Osborne indicates, "the clinic will provide persons or groups with pertinent information in-formation to help them plan and organize their own programs of physical fitness." "The public is strongly encouraged en-couraged to attend the clinic," Osborne said. |
