Show Beth Allred to direct area MR All Beth Allred, 24, a Cedar City social worker, has been ap-, pointed by the Mental Retardation Retar-dation Association of Utah to direct its community education program in Southern Utah. Her appointment was announced an-nounced by Elaine Sharp, MRAU executive director. Beth will serve mentally retarded children and adults in the counties of Iron, Washington, Beaver, Garfield and Kane, developing programs for them which will provide educational, recreational and social opportunities. op-portunities. Her office will be in Cedar City. "I hope to motivate people to fill the service gap existing for the developmentally disabled," Beth said. A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claire J. Allred of Ogden, Beth was graduated from Ben Lomond High School and from Southern Utah State College in Cedar City with honors in August 1974, with a degree in social work. As a student she organized the Kane County Senior Citizens program and received the school's Outstanding Achiever Award. She is listed in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. ' 1 |
