Show PARAGONAH NEWS By Hilma Lamoreaux Mrs. Melva Barton has recently completed a course of training for Justices of the Peace which was held at SUSC in Cedar City. She attended weekly sessions from Feb. 21 to April 3 to complete the 40 hours course, and received much valuable instruction from Judge Burns Newell Knight of the Highway' Patrol and Christian Ronnow. Approximately 25 Justices of the Peace attended coming from all the surrounding counties the schooling was sponsored by the State. visitors at the Wilson Lund home. Mrs. Ruth Boardman had her entire family with her on Sat. Gene and his wife and children came from Hinkley, Travis was here from Cedar City and the Charles Boardman family came from Parowan. Mrs. Vivian Robb and her son Ray Ferguson were to Hurricane from Mon. to Sat. in order for Ray to get help. They are hoping the Mineral Hot Springs treatments treat-ments will help Rays allergy problems. Miss Ada Robinson now has the cast off her leg which was broken on Jan. 6. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Davenport and Barbara traveled to Salt Lake on Fri. to visit with family members until Mon. Mrs. Ila Williamson traveled to St. George on Sat. to visit overnight with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Adams. Ken Jensen was home from Las Vegas to spend Easter vacation with Shelia and the children. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Fotheringham and Mrs. Jennie Lester of Beaver were Thurs. visitors at the Lagrand Robb home. Mr. and Mrs. K. Doyle Robinson were happy to have visitors last week. Their son Burgess and his wife and three daughters of Salt Lake City arrived here on Wednesday and sop Kay and his wife and two of their family arrived from the Capitbl .City on Thurs. Sat. air went to Beaver Dam, Ariz, for an outing where they were joined by the Victor Matheson, Burl Walker and David Skougaard families of Cedar City. Kay and Burgess and their families returned to Salt Lake on Sunday. Mrs. Bertha Topham arrived home on Sat. after being away all month having gone to Salt Lake City for General Conference and other events. On April 4, she attended the farewell testimonial for her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hullinger who are going to Pennsylvania. After that she attended an Open House at the Hullinger home. On April 5, there was a family gathering at the George Squires home where 32 of the family were together including all of the brothers and sisters. Bertha was especially pleased that her son Dr. Lanell Topham and his family came from Modesto, Calif. On the 9th, Mrs. Topham attended at-tended the Temple wedding of her nephew and his bride, David ; and Carol Stevens, the breakfast which followed and in the evening went to Ogden for the reception. On Mon. Mrs. Lola Robb, Miss Shirley Fotheringham and their father, Arch Fotheringham were" to St. George to spend the day with relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Edwards. Richard Thornton and two of his family of Las Vegas were here at their vacation home for a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Thornton traveled to Las Vegas to spend the weekend with relatives. Mrs. Idella Robinson was to Cedar City Fri. evening to attend the wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Larry Topham and visited overnight with granddaughter, grand-daughter, Ellen Urie and her family. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Anderson An-derson were to Beaver on Sat. to visit with the Lewis Limb and Jim Low families. Mrs. Topham visited with the Ray Berries in Kearns and returned home with her sister Mrs. Marie Smith and Mrs. Carolyn Pectol. Mr. Leslie Hulet is leaving for New York this week for another season of riding at the Finger Lakes Race Track. When the family leaves Gingers niece Patricia and her husband Jeffrey Nelson are coming to live here in the Trailer home. Mrs. Janet Carter and daughter, Monica of Minersville were Sat. visitors here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kay Lamoreaux, her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Barton, Mark and Nicole traveled to Logan on Thurs. to be able to spend some time with Laura. When they returned horn on Sat. Laura came with them for an overnight visit. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Abbott and two children of Salt Lake City were week-end visitors here with their people, Mr. and Mrs. Albin Judd and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Abbott. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barton and small daughter of Cedar City were here Sun. to spend the day with the Bruce Barton family. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Thornton and four children of Las Vegas were here from Fri. to Mon. to spend Easter weekend at their vacation home. They also visited with Mrs. Bell Edwards in the . hospital. Mrs. Viola LeFevre and daughter, Michelle of Salt Lake City were here for the weekend with the Sam Cutlers, and accompanied ac-companied them to Red Cliffs on Sat. for an outing. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Topham and Jennifer of Price and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Topham and i two children of Taylorsville were here for the weekend with 'the i Alma Topyams. I Mr. and Mrs. Kay Hansen and three younger boys of Salt Lake ; City visited here on Thurs. last i with the Boyd Robinson and ! Clark Lamoreaux families, i Mr. and Mrs. ' Clark Lamoreaux took son Bradley to Las Vegas on Sun. to catch a plane for Fort Leonardwood, i Missouri for his next army I assignment. Brad has been on leave for more than a month ! after his overseas duty in Korea, i Mrs. Leona Stones went to Cedar City to spend the weekend ; with the Carlyle Mitchell family, i Mr. and Mrs. Orion Lamoreaux of Las Vegas visited ! here on Thurs. with the Chester I Robinsons enroute to Orem to I visit relatives. They also visited here on the return trip Sun. Bishop and Mrs. Kenneth G.
