Show BPW Club members enjoy April meeting By Candace Ewing The regular dinner meeting of the Cedar City Business & Professional Women's Club was held Wednesday evening at the Town & Country Restaurant President Alida VanGroningen presided' and . welcomed all members and guests. The tone of our Bi-Centennial year was set with table decorations of interesting in-teresting red, blue, and white mannikins, favors, and floral , piece. i j The program was in charge of the Personal Development Committee under the Chairmanship Chair-manship of Alice Alexander. Mrs. Anne Frehner entertained beautifully with a song "Who Am I?" from Saturday's Warriors. Her accompanist was Mrs. Jean Moss. Ada Jones presented Mr.' Jeff Marchant, Manager of Cedar Builder's Supply Company, Com-pany, who spoke on the theme of self-improvement. He cited a number of instances of people who had accomplished amazing things through persistance, determination, inspiration, and plain hard work. The formula he gave for success is to Visualize, Organize, Actualize, and Realize. Obstacles can become stepping stones. At the drawing for the beautiful handmade, red, white, and blue quilt, the lucky number was held by Jean Myers, Head of Health Service at SUSC. Congratulations, Jean! President Alida announced the Southern District Conference to be held in Cedar City, at the Town & Country Restaurant, on May 1, 1976 at seven o'clock P.M. She also announced the State Convention will be in (Ogden, Utah on June 4-5th and the National Convention in Denver, Colorado July 25-29th. It is a real opportunity to attend a national convention .heldjn nearby Colorado. |
