Show Little League Tryouts April 27-29 Little League Tryouts for both the Cedar National and Cedar American Little Leagues have been announced by league presidents Jack Stevens and Lindy Neilson. Tryouts for boys 9 through 12 years of age will beheld April 27, 28, and 29, the presidents indicated. in-dicated. They will be held at the Little League parks. National League is made up of boys whose birthdays fall on the 1st through 15th of any month while boys whose birthdays fall on the 16th through 31st will be competing in the American League program. Tryouts are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. each evening. Those boys who will participate par-ticipate as 9 and 10 year olds are asked to attend tryouts on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 27 and 28. Boys who will be 11 and 12 this season will have tryouts on April 29 and 30. Jack Stevens is president of the National League and the league utilizes the Elks Park, the first of the two little league parks in the baseball complex east of Coal Creek. Directing the American League is Lindy Neilson. They utilize the Kiwanis Park, or the second of the two Little League parks. Boys must register and have their parents permission to tryout and to participate if selected to a team. For those boys who have registered in prior years it will not be necessary. Registration cards are available in all schools in Cedar rCity. Those wishing to try out should pick up a registration : blank and have it signed by his ' parents. They should be brought to the first tryout session and turned in at that time, the presidents pointed out. |
