Show Former commissioner files for post mm I Hi A former Iron County commissioner com-missioner has filed for the two-year two-year position on the Republican ticket. D Robinson, who previously served two terms on the commission, com-mission, is seeking the post. Semi-retired, Robinson is currently acting as president of the Bank of Iron County. He has held numerous elective and appointed civic positions, including in-cluding 16 years on the Parowan City Council, offices on local and state water and electrical power boards, offices in state and local livestock and agricultural organizations, and local offices on government agency advisory boards. He has been active in Republican party activities for over 35 years. In a statement prepared to announce his candidacy, Robinson indicated that "As a lifelong resident of Iron County, and as a person who is closely acquainted with many aspects of living in Iron County, I feel that I have some insights which can be valuable in governing the county. "I am willing and able to commit the time necessary to adequately serve on the county commission." Robinson, who is 63 years old, is married to the former Ola Orton. He has four sons and a daughter: Kenneth, Salt Lake City; Mrs. George (Deon) Williams; Jim Parowan; Jerry, Las Vegas, Nevada; and Norman, Nor-man, Salt Lake City. D ROBINSON |
