He is former ' president of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce, is a life member I of the Sons of Utah Pioneers, served a term as a Cedar City Councilman Coun-cilman and is a past president of the Escalante Knife and Fork Club. Steel MacDonald served in a management i capacity with the Columbia Iron Mining Operations West of Cedar I City before assuming responsibilities over the Western Ore I Operations headquartered at Lander, Wyo. Following his retirement he returned to Cedar City with his wife, Mary, to make their home. An advocate of local control MacDonald believes in the reduction of big government, the need for responsible leadership at the local level and the reduction of spending in all levels of government. |
