Show Mark E. Peterson Conference Speaker derstanding and forthright counseling on the issues of the day and exorting members of the Church, particularly the youth, to faithful adherance to the gospel principles and righteous living. He presently serves as one of two advisors of the Genealogical Society of the Church and is a member of the Society's Board of Trustees. He is also advisor to the Church, Music Committee and the Auxiliary Organizations of the Church. ELDER MARK E. PETERSEN Elder Mark E. Petersen, a member of the Council of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will speak at the Cedar City Utah College Stake Conference Con-ference Saturday and Sunday, April 24 and 25. The visiting General Authroity will present the theme of "Your Personal History" at the Sunday Conference session in the LDS Institute of Religion, 650 W. Center, Cedar City at 10 a.m. Gail B. Duncan, Stake President, will conduct. The public is invited in-vited to attend this conference session. Elder Petersen will be honored by the LDSSA annual "Day with the Brethren", and will speak at an all-campus Devotional in the SUSC Auditorium. Regional Young Adults and Seminary students are invited to attend this conference session. Elder Peterson was named to the Council of Twelve Apostiles in April of 1944. He is well known throughout the Church as a "speaker and writer, who for many years was prominently identified with the Church's public relations program as chairman of the Church Information In-formation committee. He served as advisor to the newly organized department of Public Communications. Com-munications. Elder Petersen has made an extensive literary contribution to the Church as a former newspaper reporter and editor and through his writings and sermons since becoming one of the General Authorities.
