Show Glen H. Bishop, California Businessman dies in Cedar City; honored at services Sunset", accompanied by Charlene Holiman. , Funeral services were held Tuesday April 20, 1976 at 2 p.m. in the Parowan LDS Third Ward Chapel with Bishop Boyd Mitchell Mit-chell conducting. Interment was in .the Paragonah Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Southern Utah Mortuaries. Glen H. Bishop, of Parowan, died at the Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City following a long illness, April 17, 1976. Mr. Bishop was born in Salt Lake City to John and Mary Stone Bishop. He married Elizabeth Hensley, she died. Most of his life he lived in California, but loved Utah and returned several weeks every year to hunt and fish. On May 11, 1967 he married Sylvia Tunnell in .Las Vegas, Nevada. They moved o Parowan in 1968. Mr. Bishop was an avid sportsman. sport-sman. By occupation he operated a Gun Shop and an automobile dealership as well as working as an automotive engineer. He was a member of the Midget Car Racing Commission of California, the Elks Lodge, the Salt Lake Gun Club, and was a member of the LDS Church. He raised three of his sisters children. Survivors include his wife, Sid of Parowan and one sister, Myrtle Simpson of Salt Lake City. . Speakers at the service were John Coweri and Howard Joseph with Janet Tincher giving a solo performance of "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," accompanied by Mary Lyman. The Family Prayer was offered of-fered by John Cowen; invocation by El Roy Bryant; benediction by Kendall Gurr and Dennis Mosdell gave the dedication of the grave. A duet by Marlene Smucker, and Norma Holiman presented special musical selections of "In the Garden': and "Beyond the |
