The Uihle decorations were vases of carnations and jonquils. Tiie time was spent with Il-'d Cross work, ami luncheon was served. Those present were Mrs. W. J. Coliman, Mrs. Willis and Mrs. Derham. Friends of Mrs. Irvln Clayton gave her a farewell surprise party on Thursday evening, Mrs. Clayton preparing to leave for Salt Lake City to make her home. The evening was spent in dancins and games, and a basket luncheon was served. Charles Wages of Irwn, Idaho, and Miss Coral Durant of Perry, Idaho, were, married Thursday afternoon by Justice William K. Wheeler. Mr. and Mrs. Axel H. Anderson and Jonas Jackson, who have spent some time in San Diego, Cal., returned home on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Plarold fiheppard returned Thursday from Los Angeles, Long Beach and La Jolla, Cal., where they had been for the past two months. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sheppard left on the same day to remain until May at the same places. Mrs. A. A. Blixt and Mrs. C. E. Crowley Crow-ley entertained a number of friends at a party at the home of Mrs. Blixt Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon, in honor of Mrs. Kobert Campbell, whose husband is stationed at Fort Williambi-idge, N. Decker returned home Tuesday Tues-day from Salt Lake City, where they had been visiting. Friday evening a concert and reception was given in honor of Evan Stephens of Salt Lake City, a former resident of Malad. : Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Davis spent r the week-end in Salt Lake City as guests of relatives. Mrs. Beth Canfield returned home Sunday Sun-day evening of last week from a visit at Ogden and Brigham City. The Ladies' Aid society of the Presbyterian Presby-terian church met Friday with Mrs. Frank Metcalf. Thursday afternoon the members of the Relief society gave a party and banquet for Mrs. Harriet Jones. A programme also was -given, consisting of songs, readings read-ings and stories, and later knitting was the feature. The guest of honor as presented wi-th a souvenir by the society. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Bigler spent the week-end as the guests of Mrs. A. P. Bigler of Colllnston. Mrs. P. A. Peterson returned home Saturday of last week from Salt Lake City, where she had been visiting. Miss Hazel Wass entertained the TJ. J. club Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bowen of Garland Gar-land returned home Sunday, after visiting visit-ing with relatives in Malad. Dr. Jackson and wife of Georgetown, Idaho, have arrived in Malad and will make their home here. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Nunnelley of Ar-bon Ar-bon were Malad visitors Saturday of last week. Friday evening a surprise party was given in honor of Ruth Eicock at her home. The evening was spent plaving games. Refreshments were served. Thursday evening of last week the ladies of the Rebekah lodge entertained in honor of Mrs. Heber Ballantyne, who will leave St. Anthony soon. Mrs. Ballantyne is a charter member and has reached the highest office in the lodge. She also has the degree of chivalry. The lodge members mem-bers presented her with a half-dozen salad forks as a memento of her stay in St. Anthony. Mrs. John Maa? entertained the Tuesday Tues-day Afternoon Knitting" club members and a few other friends at her home Tuesday. Mrs. John Mathias entertained Friday evening of last week, the occasion being her husband's birthday. Two tables of cards were played and luncheon was served. The ladles of the Presbyterian Aid society so-ciety met Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Fred Colman. The Tuesday Evening" Bridge club met this week with Mrs. John D. C. Kruger. Mrs. Charles Yager won the thrift stamps, which were offered as prizes. Mrs. F. E. Boucher entertained the ladies of the St. Katherlne's guild Thursday Thurs-day evening. The Friday Afternoon Knitting club met with Mrs. Ira W. Moore this week. Mrs. W. F. Gibson spent Monday at Blackfoot in the interest of the Red Cross. Mrs. Charles Thompson of Blackfoot spent Tuesday in the city, the guest of Mrs. W. F. Gibson. Saturday night of last week the freshman fresh-man class held its class party in the gymnasium. Dancing wus the attraction of the evening. Light refreshments were served. Mrs. Thompson entertained in honor of her two daughters, Zillah and Venice, Thursday evening- of last week at a "backwards" party. TWIN FALLS, IDA. 4 TWIN FALLS, Idaho, March 9. Honoring Honor-ing two of their most prominent members, chapter D, P. E. O., entertained at a charming farewell party in the handsome new bungalow of Mrs. A. N. Sprague for Mrs. C. M. Hill, who left Sunday for Detroit, where she will make her home, and for Mrs. R. R. Pitcairn, who leaves soon for California. The chapter flowers, marguerites and ferns, gave attractive decoration to the rooms. After a musical programme given by Miss Grace Ball and Miss Nellie Teasdale, sewing for the Red Cross was taken up for the evening, at the close of which a two-course luncheon was serve, the chapter colors, yellow ami white, being attractively followed out in the table appointments. The guests were Mes'lames Hill, Pitcairn, Heap, Nisbet, Haviland, Sprague, Colwell, Wilson White, Bell, Smith, McElwain, Warner, Stewart, Hahn, Williams and Baker and the Misses Katherine Pitcairn, Eula Fox, Nellie Teasade, Jane Maxwell, Lois Stewart, Stew-art, Grace Bryant and Grace Bell. An interesting meeting was held by the Blue Lakes Boulevard club Friday of last week at . the home of Mrs. George H. Smith. A patriotic programme was given which included the following papers: Mrs. J. M. Wright, . "Making the World Safe for Democracy"; Mrs. 1. R. Darrow, "Lincoln"; "Lin-coln"; Mrs. Ross Stevens, "The Construction Construc-tion of Democracy," and Mrs. Smith gave a reading, "George Washington." Refreshments Re-freshments were served at the close of the programme.' On Saturday the club met at the home of Mrs. J. A. Waters and spent the entire day sewing for the Red Cross. Mrs. Wright Evans entertained the members of the Entre Nous club last week. The living room and dining room were artistically decorated with yellow narcissi, carrying out the general color scheme of yellow and white. Eight members mem-bers and Mrs. Stone and Mrs. Frank Kinney as guests, were present. Lunch-con Lunch-con was served at 5:30. Six members of the M. C. B. club, with Mrs. A. W. Husted and Mrs. J. Paul Johnston as guests, enjoyed the meeting of the club held Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Peter Ericson. Mrs. Phil H. Crow was hostess to the Thursday Bridge club at her country home this week. Elven members, with Mrs. L. T. Moore and Mrs. A. W. Husted, guests, enjoyed the game and the three-course three-course luncheon served by the hostess at 5 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Breckenridge have returned from Wooster, Ohio, where they were called by the death of Mr. Hrecken-ridge's Hrecken-ridge's sister. On their return they visited vis-ited in St. -Charles, Mo., with their daughter, daugh-ter, LeNelle, who is attending school there. Mrs. T. C.
