Show MAYOR ACCUSED OF BREAKING TOWN LAW Pocatello Magistrate Given Suspended Sentence for Violating Ordinance He Approved. Special to The Tribune. POCATELLO, Idaho, March 9. Mayor A. B. Bean was arraigned in police po-lice court yesterday morning along with the usual array of local offenders. The mayor was brought in by Patrolman Patrol-man George Young on the charge of having violated the new traffic ordinance, ordi-nance, which passed the council and was signed by the city's chief executive execu-tive a few days ago. He was charged with turning his car at the corner of Center and Main streets in order to go in the opposite direction, instead of going around the block as required by the ordinance. Upon promising to more carefully study the provisions of the new law, which he declared was undoubtedly a good one, Mayor Bean was allowed to return to his duties of looking after the welfare of the city, under suspended sus-pended sentence. |
