Dearie have left for their new location at Rupert, Idaho, where Dr. Deane will assume the management of the Lava Land Development Develop-ment company, which has extensive farming lands in that community. The ladies of the Maccabees are. making extensive preparations for their annual St. Patrick's day dancing party, which will be given in Canyon hall on the evening of Friday, March 15. Mrs. L. Eskelson of Salt Lake City is a Bingham visitor, a guest in the home of her sister, Mrs. T. C. Carnahan of the Utah Copper Heights. Mrs. Pat Hyland was a Salt Lake City visitor on Friday. Mrs. C. E. Carey entertained a number of friends at a card party Tuesday at her home on the Utah Copper Heights in honor of her mother, Mrs. J. G. Swan of Salt Lake City. The guests played 500 and Mrs. R. K. Vastine was the winner of the first prize, while the consolation prize fell to Mrs. T. S. Carnahan. The rooms were beautifully decorated with roses and carnations. Luncheon was served bv the hostess. The guest list included in-cluded Mrs. J. D. Shilling, Jr., Mrs. T. S. Carnahan, Mrs. L. Eskelson, Mrs. Mc-Kenzie, Mc-Kenzie, Mrs. George Christopherson, Mrs. George Earle, Mrs. H. G. Freeze, Mrs. Nora Cox and Mrs. R. K. Vastine. The dance given Tuesday evening by the Commercial club in the clubrooms was one of the most delightful and successful social functions of the season. The dance was an invitation affair, having- about 150 guests. The music was furnished by the popular Tango Jazz band and the rooms were elaborately decorated, the patriotic feature being prominent. The committee of arrangements under the direction of (L B. Kelly, president, omitted nothing urt enters into a thoroughly good time. S Mrs. Arthur Tincombe of Copperfield entertained at a delightful party for children chil-dren at her home on Monday afternoon, in ' , honor of the sixth birthday anniversary of i her small son, Jacky. Children's games and a delightful dinner, crowned with a gorgeous birthday cake, lighted by six candles, contributed to the enjoyment of the young guests. Miss Dottie Stringham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stringham, spent a part of the week in Salt Lake City, a guest in the home of Mrs. Frank Strlckley. ' Miss Lillian Meyerhoffer, who has been assistant cashier of the Citizens State bank for about two years and very popular popu-lar in social circles, left on Thursday for Salt Lake City, where she has accepted a position with the Kimball & Richards company. Miss Jean Tennant of the Highland Boy settlement entertained a number of friends at a 500 party Saturday evening of last week. Monday evening a number of old-time friends arranged a surprise in honor of Judge John O. Freckleton, the occasion being his eighty-third birthday. The party was given at the Freckleton home on Church street and about twenty guests were present. Tho evening was spent in songs, music, readings, etc., after which luncheon was served. Miss Myrtle Ivey entertained Wednesday Wednes-day evening In henor of Mr. and Mrs. John N. Mechan,. whose wedding was solemnized at Salt Lake Tuesday. An interesting in-teresting programme was carried out, including in-cluding card playing, musical numbers and a luncheon. In the card playing prizes were awarded to Mr. Mechan and Mrs. Minnie Woodard. Mr. and Mrs. Mechan will visit in Eureka for a few-days few-days before going to California, where they will make their home. Mrs. IT. E. Osborne entertained the members of the L. O.
