The patriotic service ser-vice of Tooele review Xo. 3, Lady Maccabees, Mac-cabees, held the fourth of the series of their, Liberty teas at the Fratenvjl hall Tuesday afternoon, with Mrs. James B. Hickman, Mrs. Robert Pickcl and Mrs. A. L. Westrieh as the hostesses. The time was spent in knitting-- footwear for the Tooele boys at the front. A Jloover-ized Jloover-ized luncheon was served to the following guests: Mrs. Edward Cuddihy, Mrs. iSache Lowry. Mrs. Elmer Jloitniire, Mrs. Edward Kirk, Mrs. Howard Ervine, Mrs. Jack Hill, Mrs. William Warburlon, Mrs. Joseph Mann, Mrs. V. II. Wagner, Mra J. J. Cully, Mrs. L. H. Branscomb, Mrs. George Scliaus, Mrs. George Clausing, Mrs. C. W. Bishop, Mrs. Grant Nielioles, Mrs. P. A. Powell. Miss Edna Hickman, Miss Alice Westrieh and Miss Helen Cuddihy. - Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Davis entertained a host of friends at their home in Ophir Thursday. Four tables were on griped in playing cards, while the young folks en- joyed dancing and "sinking. The latest ! songs being "Joan of Arc" and "I'll Come i Back to You." One of the most interesting inter-esting features of the affair was the 1 , make-up dress of Mrs. C. E. McAriams of Boise-, who appeared as "hard times." , Forty-five guests were present. Luncheon Lunch-eon was served. The ladies of the Rebekah lodge have 1 arranged to entertain at a card party March 15, in the Fraternal hall. Mrs. A. Roxhury of Ogden, who spent the last week-end as the guest of her sister, Mrs. Harold L. La Belle, returned to her home Sunday. Mrs. S. T. Carman was hostess to the members of the Women's club at her home Friday afternoon. The Altar society of" St. Marguerite's Catholic church will give a dance and card social in the auditorium in observance observ-ance of St. Patrick's day next Saturday evening. Sergeant and Mrs. Everett Zies have arrived in Tooele from American Lake, Wash. While in this city they are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. De La Mare. The Ladies' Aid socieiy o; the Methodist Metho-dist church tendered a welcome- reception to tho Rev. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Kinder in the church Wednesday evening. The Rev. Mr. Kinder will occupy the pulpit made vacant by the. departure of the Rev. jr. W. Bmss. A musical programme, foi -lowed by a luncheon, occupied the evening. Miss Edith Lougy entertained the Lonnihla swarm of Beehive girls at her home Tuesday evening. The Tooele Thrift Stamp club gave a patriotic entertainment in the Southward chapel Sunday even in sr. Addn-s-ses on "War Savings" were made '- St-nator Archibald Bevnn and A. M. Nelson. The musical portion of the entertainment was sriven bv Roxi Lee. Mrs. H. H. Johnston. John-ston. T.A!et Adams, Stanley Johnson and Grover MeBride. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Mitchell' of Salt Lake were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Mitchell over Sunday. An eventful social of the season will be" the junior prom given by the junior class of' the Tooele hith school hi the Tooele opera houre on March 22. The prom this season will be a brilliant extravaganza ex-travaganza 01 pai riot ie display, with a colonnade on either side of the hall, with each booth representing one of the allied nations. A lare booth in one end of the ball will represent the United States, wiih the allies lined up on each side. The u-5'orations wi.t be in the national colors. The prom dance was scheduled to take j place on Friday evemng of this week, but -on account of 'the city being under quarantine quar-antine the dance was postponed. Mr. and Mrs. -John England were given a surprise party at their home Tuesday, evening, the occasion being their litty-flfth litty-flfth wedding anniversary. Supper was served at G o'clock to fifteen guests. Miss Emikv Warhurton was hostess to the I. B. G. club girls at her home Monday Mon-day evening. Mrs George Bean of Knightsville is the house guest of Mrs. James D. Harris. Mrs. Oscar Grosehell of Salt Lake City was the guest of Mrs. Hugh J. Cowans during the week. !
