Women's Faculty league met Friday afternoon at the woman's build ins and spent the afternoon doin Red Cross work. The Beethoven club met Wednesday evening with Miss Margaret Worley. Misses Ellen Neil sen, May Hendricks, Knitl Rosen reen and I .or;i Beitgiion 1 played selections from Mendelssohn, after w hieh an impromptu musical programme was rendered. At tlie conclusion of tlie evening refreshments were served. Eight hundred guests were served at a chicken dinner at the Hriffhain Young college Wednesday afternoon. Tlie dinner din-ner was given by the faculty members and student body. The proceeds will be usejj to buy a Liberty bond. Tlie dinner presided over by a committee from ine Wobyca society, as follows : Mrs. C. X. Jensen. Mis. Henry Otto, Miss Lanira Peters and Mrs. Joseph Quintvey. The committee was assisted by the domestic science girls of the school. The PM Kappa Iota fraternity and the Delta Nu gave a dancing party at the woman's gymnasium Wednesday evening. Light refreshments were served. Fifty couples were in attendance. Friday evening at the Brigham Young college gymnasium the Cache stake M. I. A. boards gave their annual dancing party to the oiiicers of the Mutual Improvement Im-provement associations of the various wards of the stake, flames were interspersed inter-spersed with the dancing. Several prizes were awarded. One hundred and fifty guests were in attendance. Mrs. Floyd Adams entertained her social so-cial club Thursday a f ternoon, and tiie time was spent doing Red Cross work. At the close of the afternoon ref reshments were served. The Sigma Theta Phi sorority wilt give a silver tea at the chapter house tomorrow tomor-row from 3 to 6 o'clock, for the benefit of the Red Cross. The rooms will be decorated with Easter lilies. A musical programme will be rendered. Misses Eliza Ilindley, Orissa Erjriton, Eliza Thorn and Elizabeth Cannon will receive the guests. Miss Lucile Rogers and Miss Marjorie Knudson will preside in the dining din-ing room. In celebration of tlie seventieth birthday anniversary of George Worley, a family reunion was held at his home Sunday. Nine children and fifteen grandchildren were in attendance. Dinner was served. Mrs. Bert Ruud entertained at an attractively at-tractively arranged card party Tuesday evening in compliment to Mrs. George Ruud, who left Thursday for Tacoma, Wash., where she will visit with her hus- 1 band, who is at Camp Lewis. A dancing party was given Friday evening eve-ning in the Fourth ward amusement hall in compliment to Miss Luella Anderson and Miss Vera Nelson, who will depart 'in the near future to serve as mission-uvjj mission-uvjj for t"he Mormon church. Miss An-' An-' jison will go to California, April 8, and Miss Nelson will leave the latter part of May for the northern states. Ames entertained at dinner Sunday in compliment to Mrs. A. B. Ames, who will leave in the near future for Rexburg, Idaho, where she will join her husband for the ' summer. Covers were laid for eight. Mrs. J. J. Nelson entertained her social club Tuesday evening. The guests were entertained at three small tables at 500, and at the conclusion of the game's refreshments re-freshments were served. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Oscar Malmrose and Mrs. A. D. Miller. ' The family of Mrs. Marie Mortensen held a family reunion Thursday afternoon at the Fourth ward amusement hall. A delightful, varied programme was rendered, ren-dered, after which dinner was served. Covers were laid for seventy-five. The reunion was concluded with a dancing party in the evening. Mrs. Robert Anderson arrived Tuesday from southern California, where she had spent a month. Mrs. Oscar Steel of Idaho Falls arrived Tuesday and will be a guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Nelson for three weeks. Miss Jean Hyde of Salt Lake arrived today and will be a guest of Mr. and Mrs. ; A. H. Thompson next week. Mrs. Alex Preston returned home to Rigby, Idaho, Wednesday, after a ten days' stay here. Many of Roosevelt's society folk motored mo-tored and rode horseback to White Rocks during the week to enjoy the spectacle of the Indians dancing their famous "bear" dance. The Indians were colorfully color-fully attired in their native costumes. Among the Roosevelt visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Scace and family, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Smart, Mr. and Mrs. George M. Hess. Mrs. C. P. Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Car. tain Whitlock and the Misses Florence and Claire Cirkel. Mrs. William F. Wiscombe is visiting with relatives in Spring vi lie. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas M.
