MONTANA is living up to her reputation for patriotism and is doing her bit to win the war. From every town and hamlet of the Treasure state have gone forth her young men to battle for Uncle Sam. Missoula, Montana, the university city, with a population of 17,000, has furnished something .over 500 men. The accompanying picture is of a group of .young men who have just enlisted en-listed in "the engineering corps. Last week Missoula sent thirty-two men into this .bran oh of the service, twelve of them arriving in Salt Lake on Tuesday and will be transferred from here to their permanent 'regiment, which will probably be the Forty-third engineers. When the men enlisted it was with the understanding that they would be in active service in France within three months. They are all eager to get at the kaiser, and hope that three months will put them behind the lines in France. . |
