Show TAXPAYERS ALLOWED j EXTENSION OF TIME : May File Statements of Income Up to 5:30"o'Clock Tomorrow Afternoon. I Owing to the fact that March 31, designated as the last day on which to file income statements with the internal inter-nal revenue agent, has fallen on Sun- day, the time for making returns has been extended over tomorrow. All income in-come statements must be in the office tomorrow by 5:30 o'clock in the afternoon, after-noon, or penalties will be imposed on delinquents. A new supply of income tax blanks were received at the local internal revenue reve-nue office yesterday and the supply is i plentiful to meet all demands. A tele-' tele-' gram was received yesterday afternoon ; from the head offieeof this. district, at 1 Helena, advising that wherever it has ! been impossible to secure blanks .before tho expiration of the time limit for fil-j fil-j ing, income taxpayers may make affi-! affi-! davit to that effect and secure an addi-! addi-! tional thirty days in which to make : their filings, providing they pay the tax at the time of making returns. The office of John Griffin, local internal revenue collector, on the fourth floor of the federal building, will be open until midnight tomorrow for the acceptance of income and corporation I taxes. |
