Show SPEEDY MATCHES II TEIISWJIEIT Frumkin Beats Richards in Good Battle ; Smith Trims Wooley. All sorts of speed and skill were displayed dis-played yesterday in the matchea of the j opening day of the Deseret gymnasium ; tennis tourney. All of the five contests played were hard fought, and although al-though the victor In each, case won out in straight sets, each time he was forced hard in at least one of the sets. The results of the play yesterday were as follows: H. AL Smith won from K. C. Wooley, 6-3, 7-5; Jack Flandro won from Leslie King, 6-2, 6-4; Milton Frumkin won from J. Richards, 6-4, 7-6; Dave Coleman Cole-man won from J. F. Smith, Jr., 6-4, 6-2, and F. Duncan won from F. Umpleby, 7-5, 6-2. Several other matches that were scheduled to have been played were postponed post-poned to probably Friday or Saturday. Mliton Frumkin and J. Richards gave the best exhibition of the day. Both put up an excellent style of play and the result re-sult of the match was in doubt until the last game. Although Frumkin succeeded in taking the first set without any extra games.
