Show BANK TO INSTALL BIG ELECTRIC SIGN One of the largest electric signs in the western country will soon be placed on the roof of the National Bank of the Republic building. Workmen re busy at this time building supports for the sign, and when completed it will be thirty by sixty feet and will contain -li'i.i electric-Mights. The sign is being erected by Be Witt Knox and George Knox, of the National Bank of the Republic. The Utah Power &. Light company is doing the work. It is expected that the sign will contain con-tain advertisements of every character and that news bulletins will be shown from it. The sign is so arranged that the operator talks into a telephone transmitter trans-mitter and instantly the words are sh iwn in electrie'lights. There will be .i!0h electric elec-tric contacts in the sign, and it will cost $30,000. |
