Show Arrested at Brigham City , as Conspirator in Anti-British Anti-British Plots. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, July 1.Mangu Ram, alias i Munshi Ram, a Hindu and alleged co- j conspirator with Franz Bopp, the San Francisco German consular of liter recently re-cently convicted in plots against the British in India, is in custody at Brig-ham Brig-ham City and will be taken to Salt Lake for arraignment in the L'niled States district dis-trict court within t he next few days, according to the announcement here today to-day by Leon Bone, special agent of the United States department of justice. The arrest of Ram by federal secret service operatives on a ranch near Brig-ham Brig-ham is tho culmination of a search that I has been carried on throughout the west for several months. The Hindu now in custody is alleged to have been the principal prin-cipal aide of Bopp In the plans that were carried on in this country to foment an uprising against the Brit ish government in India. Anim Chan Sharmn. a not her Hindu, is alleged to have been the agent of Bopp and Ram delegated to carry out the details of the revolution planned to take place in India. A complaint charging Ham wit h con -spiracy will he rllej by Special Agent Bone and it is probable that the Hindu will be given a preliminary arraignment before United States Commissioner W. H. Reeder, Jr., in this city. |
