Show FUEL OUTLOOK FOR STATE ENCOURAGING The fuel outlook for Salt Lake and Utah brightened considerably yesterday when the coal conpanies operating in the Utah fields loaded the first commercial coal since the Price river flood. June 25. Practically all the mines suffered damages, dam-ages, either to track or other property, from the flood, and those which escaped were cut off from transportation service because of the washouts on the railroad. As soon as the railroad completed temporary tem-porary repairs it was necessary to replenish replen-ish the meager supply of engine coal for the various roads. This completed, the mihes yesterday began to load commercial commer-cial coal and some of yesterday's loading should reach Snlt Lake by tonight or tomorrow. to-morrow. The mines on the Pleasant V;-tf-ley branch are still handicapped by the washouts and probably will not begin operation, op-eration, for several days. |
