McDonald returned to Eu- ' ! roka today after several weeks' visit in : j California, Arizona and Nevada. In addition to the regular club members the partv was attended by the following social guests: Mrs. C R Garten, Mrs. Tom-Itnson Tom-Itnson and Mrs. Neil Rosenlund. the last-mentioned last-mentioned being here from gait Lake City on a visit. Captain George T. Bridges returned to Fureka early in tlie week after spending several weeks in southern California. Mrs. W. H. Green returned to Silver City last Saturday a fter spending several sev-eral days at Salt Lake City. During her absence from home ehe was the guest of relatives in Utah county for a part of the time. The Rev. de Stoop of Tooele was in Eureka this -week visiting with the Rev. John Ryan of the local Catholic church. George Haws and Mrs. Belle Haws, who were divorced about two years ago. have been remarried. The ceremony was performed at Salt Lake on the inth of this month. They will make their home at Silver City. Mrs. Agnes Coombs, who has been visiting vis-iting with Mr. and Mrs. M. R. E. SulliVan for the past three months, will leave next Sunday for her home In Salt Lake. Mrs. Neil Rosenlund is out' from Salt lake for a visit with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Blight. Members of the Civic Betterment club held a meeting at the city hall last evening, even-ing, when regular business was transacted. The club's next meeting wiil be held two weeks from Thursday. Last Thursday evening the members of the Women's Benefit association (formerly (former-ly the L. O. T. M.) conducted a social session ses-sion and lunch at their lodge rooms. A very enjoyable time was In order. Miss Iris Golder of Lynndyl was in Eureka this week for a visit with Mrs. C. P. Chappel. Mr. and Mrs. John Pullen are at home once more after a very enjoyable outing in California. They weie visiting with Mr. Pullen'a brother. Eddie Pullen, one of the most fa mous automobile race drivers in the United States. Mr. and Mrs. C. "P. Mayfield of Garland. Gar-land. Utah, were in Silver City this week for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. John J. Cronin. They stopped off in this section while en route home after a visit of several sev-eral weeks in southern California. Mrs. D. J. Sullivan returned home on Tuesday of this week after spending about three months with relatives at Butte, Mont. Mrs. J. C. Duggan left Eureka on Wednesday Wed-nesday for Denver, Colo., where she will make her home with her daughter. Mrs. Duggan has been a resident of Eureka for a great many years. 1 MURRAY MURRAY.
