Show REPAIR DAMAGE DONE TO BIG POWER LINE A temporary pole line to replace the seven steel towers on the power line to the Garfield mills, which were blown down early Friday morning, has been completed and steps will be taken by the Utah Power & Light company to repair re-pair at once the damage done to the steel towers, according to announcement by the company yesterday. The gale that toppled the steel towers tow-ers over caused only a temporary interruption inter-ruption in the work of the Magna and Arthur mills, according to S. E. Inch of the power company. The mills were not put out of commission at all, he stated, and work was hampered for a short time only by lack of power. The power company was able to carry 85 per cent of its power load continuously, despite the accident, Mr. Inch says. |
