LOVELOCKS, Nev.v March 31- This week the aerial tramway of the Rochester Roches-ter Mines company was given the finishing fin-ishing touches and a trial which proved it complete in every detail. Installation of the crusher and conveyor equipment was linished this week, so the management confidently believes its troubles relating relat-ing to transportation of ore are at an end. i The present transportation facilities ! have always been unsatisfactory, and recently the inadequacy has been a serious seri-ous detriment to the success of the company. com-pany. With the tramway in running order," or-der," however, production of ore will be larger, while costs against mining and milling departments will be substantially substantial-ly reduced. A larger output means in-frr-nqpH Pflrnincs. so that, with the. capacity of the mill having been raised to nearly 200 tons a day it is believed the company will soon be on a dividend-paying dividend-paying basis. Another new ore discovery is reported from the mine, this time in the crosscut west from the 700 level of winze No 301, the existence of which was hitherto unsuspected. While the general average of the ore is high, some of it is liberally sprinkled with native silver, this character charac-ter of ore being exposed for a width of ten feet, acording to an official report from the mine management. On the 100 level the north drift is being be-ing continued still in good ore. The drift is designed to tap ore bodies opened np by former lessees in blocks j 4 and 5. |
