Show NOTES DECREASE IN CLUB'S LIABILITIES Secretary Larson Issnes Synopsis of Commercial Organization's Activities. The synopsis of the annual report of the Commercial club for 1916 has been iBsued by Secretary J. David Larson. It is pointed out that there is a decrease de-crease in the liabilities of the club, as compared with the report of January 1, lfllb, the decreaso amounting to $19,-355. $19,-355. The business of the dining room shows an improvement of 44 per cent over 1915. The gross income of the buffet during 1916 shows a net profit of $1371. The report calls special attention at-tention to the fact that in dry territories terri-tories clubs still skow a profit in serving serv-ing soft drinks. Consequently, it is not expected that there will be any diminution of profits from the dry period to follow August 1. The sleeping rooms show an increase of $"21, and the billiard room is the only department of the club which has not shown an increase over last year, although there was a profit of S340. Altogether the profits for 1916 in operating oper-ating the club were $6327. |
