Recently completed com-pleted at a cost of $50,000, the Ogden union stockyards, -with a capacity of 2S0 carloads of livestock, live-stock, will he opened for regular business busi-ness on Monday morning, according to tho announcement of the officers. Dur-' Dur-' ins the past several weeks a few carloads car-loads of cattle and hojrs havo been kept at the yards in connection with the feeding work and distribution of brood sows for tbe swine clubs, but the yards ' havn not been open for regular busi- ! Adjoining tho union stockyards of Ogden ore tho private yards of the Ogden Packing & Provision company, which have a capacity of 2000 head of sheep, 1H00 hogs and' .100 cattle. These yards are practically all under cover. The large packing plant to which these yards arc connected by a bridge and covered runways has a dailv capacity of 1250 hogs, 1500 sheep and 300 cattle, cat-tle, the private yards having sufficient space to handle ono day's run for the packing house. |
