SALT LAKE COSTING MORE TO OPERATE Net Increase In Expenditures of $64,-136.17 $64,-136.17 Is Noted for First Tliree Months. A net increase in expenditures of $64,136.17 for the first three months of this year over the same period of last year in the business of the city government govern-ment is shown in the comparative summary sum-mary completed yesterday by City Auditor Au-ditor E. A. Bock. Two departments show a decrease in expenditures, that of public affairs and finance amounting to $3208. 45 and of the auditor 's department depart-ment to $S73.97. The report shows that the net increase in-crease in expenditures of the waterworks water-works department for the three months to have been $16,074.49, of the public safety department. $14.S15.19, and of the department of streets and public improvements, $26,364.32.
