The Davis School District has invited all visiting educators and host families to attend the Layton-Bountiful football game. A potluck supper will follow. The dinner for educators educa-tors and host families will provide "an informal exchange," Dr. Welling said. "It should serve as an interesting show and tell experience." EDUCATORS WILL return to their hotels in Salt Lake on Sunday. On Monday they will return to Davis district again to observe the career approach to education. The IMTEC team will visit vocational centers, career information in-formation centers, adult and community high schools and observe special education programs. "The World of Work Program" in the elementary schools is scheduled for observation. x THE FIELD-site visits in the four citv school systems is only one part of the IMTEC Seminar, which is scheduled in the United States in conjunction con-junction with the bicentennial. bicenten-nial. Visiting educators reported first to Harvard University earlier this week where they heard experts talk about American education. Next Thursday they will meet at the University of California at Los Angeles for culminating activities designed to pull together what they've seen. THE VISIT, which has been in the planning stage for over a year, hopes to result in some guidelines as to what happens in education "as human beings move into urban ur-ban areas," Dr. Welling said. Foreign educators will become aware of problems here and "apply some solutions solu-tions back at home." |
