I 1 CONSISTENT i One of the most consistent ;i winners in Intermountain Swimming meets is Dale Ann i ;T Fisher, 11 year old daughter Sof Carl and Irmgard Fisher j :- of Bountiful. Not only this i "-; season, but for years, since she became a competitor in ''- the swimming field, at the ; age of five years . I? DALE ANN Fisher is blessed with a competitive j: spirit, but also with ambition i to match that desire. She is j one who wants to do well, and j- : ; works and pays the price to j achieve success. : : At the recent Utah Long ; Course Championship held in I ' the Bountiful Outdoor Pool, ; Dale Ann rose to high point ! ' honors again for her outs- standing performances in nine r j events. The meet lasted three ! days, with competitors limit- : ed to three events per day. : HIGH .POINT trophy was presented to Dale Ann after "'points tallied from all - competitors. She placed first : in 50 meter butterfly; 200 -meter Individual Medley, 200 Dale Ann Fisher has been one of the most consistent winners in swimming meets of all local swimmers. meter freestyle; 100 meter backstroke and 100 meter butterfly. Her second place events were 100 meter breas-troke breas-troke and 100 meter freestyle. She also placed third in 50 meter freestyle and 50 meter breastroke. . - Dale Ann was cftosen to participate on the Intermountain Intermoun-tain Swimming team which competed in Tucson, Arizona in late July. She was one of two Bountiful swimmers given that honor. At the Tucson Tuc-son meet, championships for Region 10 swimmers including includ-ing teams from New Mexico, Idaho, Arizona and Utah, Dale Ann placed 8th in 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2.26:00 and 8th in 100 back with a time of 1.18.09. A MEMBER of Bountiful Synchronettes Synchronized swim team, she chose this summer to concentrate on speed swimming, not competing com-peting in the annual synchronized events held during the summer months. She is back to two daily workouts, preparing for the next season for Intermountain swimming. Competition and desire to succeed have made a champion of a very talented and courageous lady, rsp |
