Show Alpha Delta Kappa Week Set In Utah Governor Calvin Rampton proclaimed the week of Oct. 10 - 16 as Alpha Delta Kappa Week in the state of Utah. MAKING NOTE of Alpha Delta Kappa's goal to "promote educational and charitable projects for the enrichment of the lives of individuals in-dividuals everywhere" the Governor signed the proclamation at the state capitol building with ADK officers of-ficers in attendance. ADK is an honorary sorority for professional women educators. Founded in 1947, there are 1650 chapters in 50 states, the District of Columbia and 5 foreign countries. coun-tries. STATE ADK President Alene Stringham of Center-ville Center-ville said, "All 14 Utah chapters are honored by the Governor's proclamation and fokik will use the occasion of Alpha Delta Kappa Week to rededicate themselves to the high standards of education and community service we have been supporting for nearly 30 years." |
