Show WJfiirafteiriziiirag FiOuUs For Low Qonceruue Community Action Program of winterizing homes for low income owners is still available, according to CAP director Carl Chappell. "Some money is still available," availa-ble," he said. "We don't have enough applicants." SENIOR CITIZENS can qualify as well as four-member four-member families making less than $5,500 yearly. The program supplies materials only. In most cases the aid is $250, though some exceptions are made. Recipients must repair the houses themselves or find someone to do the repair work. Mr. Chappell called the winterization process a "band-aid program," which was intended to repair broken glass, caulk windows and doors, and insulate and repair leaky roofs. ABOUT 60 Davis County residents have applied and received financial aid for home repair. Anyone who wishes information or is seeking to determine whether he meets the specifications should call CAP offices in Bountiful, Clearfield or Far-mington, Far-mington, Mr. Chappell said. |
