Show Sr. Cit. Activities i October has been a very i busy month at the Golden Years Center. There have 1 1 been many outstanding 1 1 programs. New classes have been added and there have been voting machines in the : centers. The swine flu shots have been given and there ii had been a trip to Vernal. ;i i il ' ON MONDAY, Oct. 18, ; there will be an important . 1 1 ' voter's service program to ! meet the candidates for Davis H County commission; Utah Senate District No. 23 and Utah Rep. Districts, No. 55, No. 56 and No. 57 have been invited. On Thursday, Oct. 21, at i 1:30 p.m. the regular monthly ; luncheon will be held at ' Viewmont High School and candidates for Davis School Board, in precincts 1, 2 and 3 i have been invited. There will be a question and answer period. THE VOTING machines are i in the centers and demon-: demon-: strations on how to use them j can be held on request. : Transportation to the can-; can-; didates meetings or to the polls to vote on Nov. 2, will be provided by the centers. The Davis County Housing Authority has received additional addi-tional funds for winterization of homes of moderate and low income persons. This could be caulking, weather stripping, insulation and in some cases storm windows or doors. FREE BUS passes can be obtained for handicapped, call the center if you change addresses or if there is an error and you do not receive the bulletins. THE OCTOBER bulletin has a great deal of helpful information in-formation concerning the November ballot, take time to read this information before you vote. LaMarr Hart will continue the ceramic workshop on Oct. 18 at 9:30 a.m. in the center. Bring your articles on which you have been working or join the group to work on the porcelain por-celain figurines. New members are welcome. THE LAMARR Hart China Painters Chapter of Bountiful will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Golden Years Center on Oct. 22 for a special workshop with a prominent china painting teacher. Angela Holbrook the new registered dietitian will be at the center on Fridays. She gives demonstrations, brings food samples and has many interesting ideas. She is also qualified to counsel with you about your individual diet problems and can assist in many ways. THE NEW building of the Golden Years Center is taking shape and is to be completed in early 1977, but it is necessary neces-sary to raise more funds for completing the project.
