Show Speaking to a group of ton-cemed ton-cemed parents, October 10 in North Salt Lake, Mrs. Reva Elaine Wadsworth, candidate for the House of Representatives, Representa-tives, legislative district 57, discussed the position of the American Party in relation to the Constitution of the United States, as well as the position of the two major parties. MRS. WADSWORTH quoted quot-ed portions of a speech made by President David O. McKay, as printed in his book "Statements on Communism and the Constitution," wherein he recognized dispo-tic dispo-tic and active influences were striving to take control of the country and to destroy the Constitution. Methods used by these forces were to engender "pity for the unfortunate" in order to "gain mastery, and then enslave them." Mrs. Wadsworth explained that the party-acting-policies of both the Democratic and Republican parties do pursue strategies urging sympathy for the poor, the underprivileged, un-derprivileged, and the discriminated against. Both parties pursue the same objectives: ob-jectives: government control of commerce, transportation, and education. MRS. WADSWORTH cited many present accomplish-' ments of both parties: farm controls, industrial controls, food controls, safety controls and the present encrouching entanglement: education. All areas are controlled by bureaus. Each bureau has the power to make its own laws, to administrate the laws, and to adjudicate and prosecute without due process. Many local businesses are suffering from these despotic enforcements. en-forcements. Mrs. Wadsworth pointed out that Title 9, a "quasi-law" not having status as Legislative Legisla-tive Law, is promoted by one of the most powerful government govern-ment bureaus: The Health, Education and Welfare Department. The probability, says Mrs. Wadsworth, that the quasi-rules of this bureau will have as much or more power than the IRS and other bureaus, where independent law making, ajudication, and prosecution is performed daily in our country, is very likely. MRS. WADSWORTH expressed much concern over a clause in Title 9 that forbids dismissal of any student or teacher for acts that support his creed or that are "discriminated" against. This, Mrs. Wadsworth points out, could be acts of devious promiscuity as well as sainthood. Mrs. Wadsworth was especially concerned that bills are now being introduced in-troduced in California and in the U.S. Legislature requiring requir-ing that public officials and school officials be hired in particular proportion where some must be ex-convicts, homosexuals or other discriminated-against persons. per-sons. MRS. WADSWORTH pointed point-ed out that both parties have and are supporting these Socialistic-Humanistic poli cies, whether ignorantly or intentionally. "The voter who recoils from such unchristian un-christian and un-American standards feels that he cannot vote; however, there is another choice" Mrs. Wadsworth Wads-worth continued. "The American Party is the only party in the world to state on its platform that the U.S. Constitution is an inspired in-spired document and that it should be sustained in every instance. The American Party refuses to support any humanistic standards and refuses to sustain any inter-ventionistic inter-ventionistic policies. The American Party is not just a second choice to Christians. It is a first choice, as it is the only hope, politically, to stop total socialization of ou. nation." na-tion." MRS. WADSWORTH quoted quot-ed de Tocqueville: "Despotism "Despo-tism may govern without faith, but liberty cannot ..."
